For our second moon chase of our New England adventure, we awoke at 4am to shoot the moonset at the Old Stone Church in Massachusetts. (Yes, it really is called the Old Stone Church.) It was built in 1891, but the area was later flooded to build the Wachusett Reservoir. The residents were displaced and the town's buildings were drowned or destroyed except for this church. It had its last service in 1902.
As the moon set and the sun rose, I saw a giant eye watching us across the foggy water.
(Twilight blend of an exposure for the speedy moon and a long exposure at first light with same camera set-up.)
